Hi Simon, welcome back to Better Creating. I have some exciting news to share with you about two new productivity developments in Notion.

First, I have a tour of my updated Notion setup template for you. It's a simplified version of my complete Notion life OS template, and it's now available for download. There are a ton of new features, including new project progress reports, a brand new habit tracker, and a daily log solution. Plus, there's a simplified approach to managing your to-do lists and projects in Notion.

But the most exciting news is item number two: I'm working on a complete Notion build-along series. I want to hear your suggestions and requests for what should be included, so please take a moment to sign up for the dedicated mailing list in the description to hear more. You can also subscribe here if you haven't already. And be sure to watch to the end of this video to learn more about my plans for the project and how you can get involved by leaving me your ideas of what should be covered.

Okay, let's get a taste of what's to come with a tour of this simplified Notion life OS. This setup build was originally inspired by the idea of recreating the simplicity of a paper planner within the benefits of a digital platform like Notion. You can watch the original video via the links below to learn more about the ideas behind using Notion as an analog planner.

But I've expanded this 2022 version to include a ton of new features that you'll find in my larger templates, like a goal setting template, a stoic journal and daily log, and an improved habit tracker. Plus, there's now the option to manage tasks in different ways, either using a simple weekly view with day tags or a full date-based calendar system.

If you want to download this template, you can use the links below. And if you're an existing user of the original version of this template, I've just sent out an email with a way to get the full price of the original discounted off this bigger version. So, keep an eye out for that email, and if you can't find it in the next couple of days, just email me with proof of download and I'll send it to you.

This is the home dashboard for the template. There are some big developments here, including new reporting views and progress reports. It's been great integrating these recent Notion features into my setup, and I love the new icon sets that can be color coordinated for a clean look. Plus, there's the option to set a default database page template, so that every time you click "new" anywhere on a database, it will look a certain way.

I've also created a main menu that keeps all the key databases and pages in one place. This means that everything is self-contained within the main home page dashboard, and it can all be managed from within the system. There's a full guide to help you learn how to use this template.

Just like my more complex complete system, this system is based around a process that I think all good organization systems can benefit from. That process is: visualizing goals and outcomes, quickly capturing or tracking ideas, tasks, and habits, and then reviewing and refining those ideas, tasks, and habits on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.

I hope you enjoy this tour of my updated Notion setup template. Be sure to sign up for the dedicated mailing list and leave me your suggestions and requests for the Notion from scratch build series. I can't wait to hear your ideas and get started on this project with you.
