How to Move a Notion Page to a Different Account

Sometimes, you may find the need to transfer a Notion page from one account to another. Whether it's for collaboration purposes or because you're switching to a new Notion account, the process is relatively simple. This article will guide you through the steps required to move a Notion page to a different account.

Before diving into the steps, it's important to note that transferring a Notion page to a different account is currently only possible if you have access to both accounts. If you don't have access to the target account, you will need to contact the account owner or administrator to assist you.

Follow the steps below to successfully move a Notion page to a different account:

Step 1: Duplicate the Page

  1. Open the Notion page you want to move.
  2. Click on the three-dot menu at the top-right corner of the page.
  3. In the dropdown menu, select "Duplicate."
  4. A duplicate of the page will be created in the same account.

Step 2: Share the Page with the Target Account

  1. Open the duplicated page you just created.
  2. Click on the "Share" button at the top-right corner of the page.
  3. In the sharing settings, enter the email address associated with the target Notion account.
  4. Choose the desired access level for the target account (e.g., can edit, can comment, or can view).
  5. Click on the "Send" button.

Step 3: Accept the Page in the Target Account

  1. Open the email sent to the owner of the target account.
  2. Click on the invitation link provided in the email.
  3. If prompted, log in to the target Notion account.
  4. The shared page will be shown in the target account. You can either accept or decline the invitation.

Step 4: Move the Page to the Desired Location in the Target Account

  1. Once the shared page is accepted, it will appear in the target Notion account.
  2. Open the target account and locate the shared page.
  3. Choose the desired Workspace or folder where you want to move the page.
  4. Click and drag the page to the new location.

That's it! You have successfully moved a Notion page to a different account. The page will now be accessible and editable in the target account, and you can collaborate or work on it as needed.

It's important to note that when transferring a page, only the content and structure of the page are transferred. Any individual permissions set on blocks within the page won't be transferred. Therefore, you might need to adjust the permissions in the target account accordingly.

Additionally, any updates made to the original page in the source account won't automatically be reflected in the transferred page. To keep both pages synchronized, you will need to manually update the shared page in the target account if required.

Moving a Notion page to a different account allows for a seamless transfer of information and enhances collaboration between individuals or teams. By following the steps outlined in this article, you can easily move your valuable Notion pages from one account to another with minimal effort.
