How to Resize Images on Notion's iPad App

Notion is a powerful all-in-one productivity app that lets you organize and manage your tasks, notes, and projects. Among its many features is the ability to insert images into your documents. Sometimes you may need to adjust an image’s size to achieve the perfect layout, and Notion’s iPad app offers intuitive ways to do so.

Step 1: Open the Notion App

Open the Notion app on your iPad and navigate to the page where you want to resize an image. If you haven’t installed the app yet, you can download it from the App Store.

Step 2: Locate the Image

Find the image you want to resize on your document. You can either insert a new image or work with an image that is already present.

Step 3: Select the Image

Tap on the image to select it. The image will be highlighted and its settings will become accessible.

Step 4: Access the Image Adjustment Options

In the latest versions of the Notion iPad app, you can adjust the image size using one of two methods:

1. Drag Handles or Pinch-to-Zoom:
   When you select an image, you might see blue handles appear around it. Drag these handles or use a two-finger pinch gesture directly on the image to adjust its width.

2. More Options Menu:
   For a more precise adjustment, tap the "..." icon to open additional settings. In the menu that appears, look for the "Resize" option (often represented by a square with arrows pointing inward and outward).

Step 5: Adjust the Image Size

• Interactive Resizing:
  Use pinch-to-zoom gestures or drag the blue handles for an intuitive, real-time adjustment.

• Slider Method:
  If you selected the "Resize" option from the "..." menu, a slider will appear. Move the slider left or right to decrease or increase the image size as needed.

Step 6: Confirm and Save

As you adjust the image, a live preview will show how it appears in your document. Once you are satisfied with the new dimensions, tap the "Done" button (if using the slider) or simply tap outside the image. Notion automatically updates the image display based on your adjustments.

Important Note

Resizing an image in the Notion iPad app only affects its appearance within your document. The original image file remains unchanged. To permanently alter the dimensions of the image file, use a dedicated image editing app or software before inserting it into Notion.
